So what is never knows best...? It is what Mamimi, from FLCL, has written on her cigarettes. And now, I co-opted it for this stupid blog.

Gake No Ue No Ponyo
Movies watched in the past few days
* Ponyo: I was kinda disappointed in this. It just didn't have as captivating of a story as I thought it might. Plus it was a lot shorter than I expected, just when I felt like I was getting to know the characters, the movie ends. The visuals are stunning though
* Yi Yi: I didn't have much expectations for this, but it was surprising not too boring. Slightly boring due to long scenes, but what was portrayed was interesting.
* The Big Lebowski: Pretty reasonable
Summer Wars: I think I enjoyed this the most out of the movies watched. I hate the idea of the "Second Life" fake world (which is strange because I think Snow Crash's to be oddly belivable), but it was used fairly effectively and overall the movie was very entertaining.
* The Girl Who Leapt Through Time: Also slightly disappointed in this movie. I couldn't really grow to like any of the characters. I think the plot's twists were more interesting than Summer Wars', but Summer Wars wins on entertainment value.
* Sherlock Holmes: Surprisingly ok, and not too long. The way the movie ends with a obvious sequel foreshadowing and a Scooby Doo'esque here's how it was all done explaination takes some enjoyment out.
