So what is never knows best...? It is what Mamimi, from FLCL, has written on her cigarettes. And now, I co-opted it for this stupid blog.

Just watched an episode of Spongebob Squarepants titled Karate Island (it's very cool how Wikipedia has plot summaries for Spongebob episodes), and was very tickled by it's life lesson of "Beware time share scams." Hopefully it'll stick with some kids and they'll know to avoid hard sell tactics and be skeptical of over-promises. More unexpected was that the episode was dedicated to Pat Morita...

I find it insanely funny that Korea has a stock exchange called Kosdaq. It just sounds incredibly ridiculous.

A Little Pain [Olivia]
Since Amy's coworkers are always talking about techie sorts of things, when we talk around lunch time, I always try to think of the things Amy would have had to talk about with her coworkers (since I keep up with techie things). So, today I thought they would've talked about perpendicular hard disks for some reason (something about Toshiba releasing a new notebook hard drive or something today), and in doing so remembered Hitachi's "Get Perpendicular" video, which happily explains the technology.

Celebration Guns [Stars]
Last week in Jacksonville (visiting for work), I missed out on trying the various fast food places that they don't have around here. Namely Sonics and Chick-fil-a, though actually now that I check if I wanted to make a drive out towards Sacremento I could run by both of them. I also saw a Publix market, which everyone seems to mention on the various grocery debates I read in tech forums. Those are the sort of landmarks I notice when I visit new places.
