So what is never knows best...? It is what Mamimi, from FLCL, has written on her cigarettes. And now, I co-opted it for this stupid blog.

My pay checks breakdown as: 21% tax (pumping lots of money into the 401k helped cut this down a little), 25% 401k, 12% savings, 13% rent+utils, 6% car payment, leaving 23% as spendable money.

When comparing haute hot chocolate to I guess Ovaltine
"It's like if you're a Budweiser drinker and somebody all of a sudden gives you a bottle of Guinness stout"It still seems like a hassle to make to me though. Scalding milk is too complicated (boiling I can do, scalding I can't).

...(According to Nielsen, one of the top daytime shows on the Food Network is Semi-Homemade Cooking.)...The part that disturbs me is that people actually like Semi-Homemade Cooking because in my opinion it is definitely the crappiest of the Food Network shows. The food looks bad, and the host is kinda freaky too. And I always confuse her name (Sandra Lee) with Sara Lee, which for a while made me think that it was a giant advertisement for Sara Lee products.

My favorite cartoon of the past couple of days has been The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. It kinda has a lot of the extreme randomness and gag humor that amuses me (the recent Christmas episode invovled fighting off vampire Santa Clause), it's kinda like Spongebob Squarepants but meaner and with stranger circumstances. The other reason it's been fun to watch is because much of it is new to me, unlike Spongebob Squarepants or something like Futurama where I've seen most of it already.

I'm attempting to use Opera as my browser and mail client right now. For some reason IE and Firefox were both pretty clunky and Thunderbird was extremelly clunky. So, I made a switch. So far, it has a larger learning curve than any other browser I've used (well maybe Lynx was a bit harder to get started with), and I'm just happy I somewhat have the shortcuts the way I want them. Seems decently nice though, no ugliness like with Firefox.
