So what is never knows best...? It is what Mamimi, from FLCL, has written on her cigarettes. And now, I co-opted it for this stupid blog.

So Long, Lonesome [Explosions In The Sky]

I'm torn on my NPR listening habits.

I think it's getting a bit overwhelming. Probably more than 25% of the time I spend in my apartment (yes, that's including sleep time) includes listening to NPR in the background. I get at least 2 hours in the morning (of which I'm somewhat aware of as I sleep through some of it), about an hour in the evening whenever I get home from work, and finally another hour or two to bring me to sleep. Throw in time spent in the car, and about all my listening hours are covered.

I like to hear the news and all, but I don't need to hear basically the same report 4 times a day. So, somehow this is all I end up listening to, and part of it may be because NPR is NPR no matter where you are and you don't have to deal with the eccentricies of Seattle radio (well other than the apparent crush KUOW has on BBC news coverage).

So, no more... I did buy that Roku Soudnbridge a year ago for a reason, so I will be listening to SomaFM/KSCU internet streams more and BBC World Update less, and hopefully be the better for it.
