So what is never knows best...? It is what Mamimi, from FLCL, has written on her cigarettes. And now, I co-opted it for this stupid blog.

I did some short hiking around the Mount Diablo state park area today. It was a what I thought would be a nice day to do hiking (nice overcast cool weather) but I was probably underdressed in shorts, t-shirt, and zip-up sweater. Since I always heard how nice the hiking was there, I figured I should at least try, plus it placates my guilt about not working out.
After driving through windy roads for a lot longer than I thought I would have to I finally reached a parking lot-like area. And from that parking lot I hiked to a slightly higher up parking lot 1.2 miles away. It was ALL UPHILL (or at least 90% of it). So it took about 1 hour to walk up (30 minutes to run/walk down). The views were nice, but the climb was very discouraging, and weather up at the upper parking lot was like walking in mist so I headed back.
I guess there's no real moral for this story other than I think I'll go walking around my neighborhood next time I feel like I need to be active. Beats mall walking at least.
