So what is never knows best...? It is what Mamimi, from FLCL, has written on her cigarettes. And now, I co-opted it for this stupid blog.

Swing Life Away [Rise Against]
Mashed potatoes go a lot farther than I expected. Take a lot more effort to mash with a fork than expected too. Overall of the things I've tried to cook, I think this has turned out the closest to what it should atually be. A little to potatoey and dry (I just solved the dryness by adding water, which I think the recipe mentioned but I overlooked), plus I didn't add that much milk so it wasn't too creamy (compensating with more butter only kinda worked). Between this and the Rice-A-Roni, I think I will be well set for starch for the rest of the month.
Day post birthday thoughts: I'm happy. I think that's more than I can say for an average Nick birthday, for which I think I would be content. And as I said to Amy, it's a rare birthday where I feel like I'm about the right age as I should be. Of course I'm always behind the curve, so it's nice to see some progress.
