dry as toast

Got back from 五月天 concert last night. Even though we had to stand outside in the pouring rain for 2 hours, it was still fun (apparently doors open at 8:30 for a 7:30 show?). Total lack of Taiwanese comprehension and somewhat lack of Chinese comprehension, didn't deter me either, especially because Amy served as useful all purpose translator, plus the music was good anyways. Just mentioned lack of Chinese skills was further brought to light as I read a Chinese bedtime story (about the invention of the modern day pencil) and was getting tripped up on the combination of 注音符號 and 漢字 while trying to read it to her. Well 30 minutes to finish a 2 pages of very light reading is something at least.
