So what is never knows best...? It is what Mamimi, from FLCL, has written on her cigarettes. And now, I co-opted it for this stupid blog.

America [M83]
Just got back from the M83 concert. And because of the concert and me getting to SF early, I have been on my feet for ~6 hours. What that means is that I am expecting ~3 blisters per foot, and my socks seem pretty messed up too. Part of the blame lies on my Bass shoes, but I will not fault them too much because they are a heck of a lot more comfortable than any other mildly dressy shoe I have ever worn, just not sneaker comfortable.
So, yes, the concert... Other than the waiting (got there at 9, opening band started at 10:45, M83 started at 11:45), which is what always makes me wonder if concerts are really worth going to, and the crappiness of the opening band, whose crappiness is colored by technical difficulties and me being pissed at them for making me wait, it was quite a nice concert. When I first got there, there were maybe 10 other people waiting to get in, but it got pretty reasonably packed later, which is nice but mostly annoying to me.
M83 certainly did not disappoint with their live act. 2 guitars, a keyboard, a bass, and drums plus I think lots of prerecorded synth. Even though some bits were clearly prerecorded, it was still a very nice barrage of guitars. Another plus is that they played my favorites along with quite a lot of stuff I did not recognize, either because it was a song I never heard or because it sounded different from the album version. Overall, major kudos to M83 for putting on a good live act.
Now to nurse my feet.
