So since April was the first month that I actively tried to keep track of my expenses in my college career, let us see how I did... $285.95, not including rent and utilities. Not too bad, though I did spend like $70 of my Chinese New Year money on music because I did not want to skew my April resuls too much. Overall, I am pleased enough, it means that I can probably live fairly comfortably off of my salary.
And about that music, I think I almost spent as much money on going to concerts and buy CDs as I did on food. I went to 2 concerts, rode BART to San Francisco 3 times for those 2 concerts, and bought 6 CDs, 1 single, and 1 poster. That is a lot of wasted cash, and though I have been really enjoying it all, I really hope these trends do not continue.
